Trueline is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance defense team in Houston, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior litigator with 2+ years of experience to manage a high-volume docket focused on general liability, premises, and some auto matters—while receiving support and mentorship from senior attorneys.


Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Texas

• Approximately 2+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense

• Familiarity with general liability, premises, or auto liability claims

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple files

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills


What You’ll Do as the Associate Attorney:

• Handle your own caseload of litigated insurance defense matters, including general liability, premises liability, and minor auto claims

• Draft responsive pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

• Conduct depositions, prepare legal research, and participate in motion practice

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and gain direct litigation exposure

• Contribute to a supportive, high-performance team with hybrid work flexibility


Nice-to-Haves as the Associate Attorney:

• Trial prep experience or familiarity with high-volume litigation environments

• Exposure to first-party insurance or commercial auto claims
