As General Ledger Accountant, you will own the monthly close process and financial reporting for a portfolio of condominium associations. You will work across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Management, and Association Managers — serving as the accounting authority and communication bridge between internal teams and association boards.
What You'll Do- Drive accurate, timely month-end close: prepare journal entries and reconcile cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, fixed assets, and other accounts
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable and Payable to the general ledger
- Reconcile all bank accounts and fund balances to appropriate general ledgers
- Produce consolidated fund Balance Sheets and Revenue & Expense statements
- Review monthly GL reports and ensure GAAP compliance
- Translate financial data into clear, accessible summaries for Association Boards and managers
- Support annual audits and assist with budget preparation
- Participate in process-improvement initiatives and departmental projects
- $35.00/hr+ starting wage ($72,900 annualized) — or commensurate with experience

What We're Looking ForRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR equivalent community association accounting experience
- Solid command of GAAP, with hands-on accrual accounting and fund accounting expertise
- Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills — able to explain financials to non-accountants
Preferred
- Background in community/condominium association management accounting
- Experience with property management accounting software
- Familiarity with multi-use building reconciliations and budget preparation
