About this opportunity
We're excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our highly respected team at Ericsson as a General Ledger Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the precision and timeliness of our accounting records in our accounting and reporting systems. Duties will include general ledger accounting, reconciling financial statements, supporting close processes, and creating and maintaining compliant financial documents. Additionally, you will support audit processes conducted both internally and externally. As integral team members, you will play a main role in shaping our financial records to conform with EBP business processes, local accounting standards, and governmental regulations.
What you will do
- Execute and manage Journal Vouchers (JV) including preparation, validation, documentation, approvals, and proper general ledger postings using Microsoft D365/Oracle
- Perform G/L account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, gather supporting documentation, and ensure alignment with closing timelines in Microsoft D365/Oracle
- Perform end-of-period closing activities, including local exchange rate maintenance for designated entities.
- Oversee Fixed Asset accounting, including asset creation, disposals, transfers, and reconciliation of tangible and intangible assets.
- Support Collections activities to secure timely cash collection, invoice follow-up, dispute resolution, customer reconciliation, and portfolio analysis.
- Administer collections reporting and aging analysis, escalating risks to stakeholders when required.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and external customers to resolve disputes and overdue balances.
- Drive continuous improvements in process quality, accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
