The General labourer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at our industrial manufacturing facility. The primary duties include assembling and building crates for our assembled pumps and motors and prepare for outbound shipping. Other duties may include loading and unloading tools or raw materials and assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment.

This position is located in Scarborough, Ontario from 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through 

Friday, with potential overtime and weekend availability, as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating compressors and other small power equipment such as drills and band saws.
  • Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Following all company policies as described in the employee handbook.
  • Support the production by removing waste as a daily routine.
  • Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers.
  • Mark, record, and report defects.
  • Clean work areas and equipment.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • All other duties as may be assigned


What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Knowledge of standard measuring equipment (tape measures etc.).
  • Skill in reading specific work instructions for a made-to-order product.
  • The ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to perform repetitive lifting/bending/stretching in a hot/humid/dusty environment.
  • Previous hands-on experience in using overhead and jib cranes as well as typical material handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks).
  • Sense of urgency and capable of working in a time-sensitive environment
  • Team-oriented perspective, adaptability, and the capability of working independently

Range: CAD$18.50 - CAD$20.00
