Position Summary
Red Cat Holdings is offering internship opportunities for motivated students interested in unmanned systems, aerospace, and defense technology. This program is designed for students who bring strong technical or analytical fundamentals but may not yet know exactly which discipline they want to specialize in.
Rather than being tied to one specific role, interns are matched to a team and project based on their background, coursework, and interests — potentially spanning engineering, product, operations, quality, or business functions across our subsidiaries.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside a Red Cat Holdings or subsidiary team on real projects, not just observational shadowing
- Gain exposure to how a fast-growing aerospace/defense company operates — from engineering and product development to supply chain and compliance
- Take part in structured check-ins with a mentor to build skills and get feedback throughout the internship
- Contribute to documentation, research, testing, analysis, or process improvement, depending on the team you're matched with
- Potentially participate in cross-functional projects that touch multiple teams or subsidiaries
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, or related disciplines)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine curiosity about how things work
- Comfortable learning new tools and systems quickly
- Good communicator, able to work both independently and as part of a team
- No specific major or year required — we're looking for potential and fit, not a finished skill set
Nice to Have (not required)
- Any personal or academic project involving drones, robotics, hardware, or systems
- Interest in aerospace, defense, or unmanned systems industries
- Prior internship, part-time, or project experience in a technical or analytical role
Working Conditions
- Location and setting vary by team assignment (office, lab, or manufacturing environment)
- May include occasional facility walk-throughs or hands-on exposure depending on placement
