Job Summary
GFEBS Coordinator Lead oversees and coordinates financial management, budget execution, and reporting activities to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and effective use of resources. Serving as the primary liaison among program teams, financial stakeholders, and leadership, this role monitors financial performance, supports decision-making, and ensures accurate reporting and fund execution in a fast-paced environment.
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate budget execution and financial management activities across multiple programs and stakeholders.
- Monitor commitments, obligations, expenditures, and available funding to ensure timely and compliant execution of resources.
- Analyze financial data and funding trends to identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for improved execution.
- Track and manage funding documents, interagency agreements, and financial transactions to ensure accountability and transparency.
- Validate financial information and reporting data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Prepare executive-level financial briefings, dashboards, status reports, and presentations for leadership review.
- Coordinate recurring weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reporting requirements.
- Support funding reconciliations and assist in resolving execution discrepancies and financial issues.
- Respond to leadership requests, data calls, and emerging program requirements.
- Collaborate with program stakeholders to ensure financial activities remain aligned with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Provide oversight and guidance to supporting financial analysts and budget personnel, as applicable.
- Maintain awareness of financial management systems, processes, and reporting tools to support program execution and decision-making.
Requirements
- BS degree or equivalent, 5 (+) years of experience and about to obtain Common Access Card (CAC).
- Experience supporting financial management, budget execution, or program management activities.
- Strong knowledge of government financial management principles, budgeting processes, and fund execution practices.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Experience preparing executive briefings, reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with financial management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to coordinate activities across diverse stakeholder groups and functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, compliance reviews, or financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with both planned and reactive workload demands.
- Leadership, coordination, and team collaboration skills.
Travel Requirements
This is an onsite position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions.
