The General Financial Specialist:
As our General Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the financial performance of the business through effective inventory management, CAPEX control, fixed assets administration, cost accounting, and detailed spending analysis. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and cost optimization. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, business partnership, and the ability to independently manage key financial processes while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time Investment Needed on Each

- Support and maintain inventory management processes to ensure accurate inventory valuation, cycle count compliance, reconciliation activities, and effective working capital management.
- Monitor inventory transactions and perform detailed analyses to identify inventory risks, slow-moving inventory, excess and obsolete reserves, and opportunities for optimization.
- Manage CAPEX tracking and reporting activities, ensuring that capital expenditure is properly authorized, recorded, monitored, and aligned with approved budgets and corporate guidelines.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records, including asset capitalization, transfers, depreciation, retirements, disposals, and periodic physical verification activities.
- Perform monthly and ad-hoc analyses of fixed and variable spending, identifying key business drivers, cost trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by preparing documenting the correct information to support journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analyses related to inventory, fixed assets, manufacturing costs, and operating expenses.
- Apply cost accounting principles to support standard costing activities, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing and operational variances, including material usage, purchase price, labor, overhead absorption, and spending variances, providing clear explanations to management.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Business Leaders to provide financial insight and support cost reduction, productivity, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, corporate policies, and audit requirements related to inventory, CAPEX, and fixed assets.
- Prepare periodic reports, financial presentations, and management summaries highlighting key performance indicators, spending performance, capital investments, and inventory metrics.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities by providing accurate cost data, assumptions, and variance explanations.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, analyses, and explanations for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Continuously develop knowledge of accounting principles, manufacturing finance, cost accounting methodologies, and business processes to increase value provided to the organization.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in Finance, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, Financial Analysis, or related disciplines.
- Solid knowledge of Cost Accounting, inventory valuation, variance analysis, fixed assets accounting, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting inventory management processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CAPEX management, asset capitalization, depreciation accounting, and fixed asset controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple functions.
Travel Requirements
