About Role: Accrete AI is seeking a strategic and experienced General Counsel to lead the company’s legal function and provide counsel across all business areas, including corporate governance, contracts, intellectual property, and HR matters. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will guide Accrete AI’s legal strategy in support of rapid growth, innovation, and expansion into federal and commercial markets. This role requires a seasoned legal professional with deep knowledge of technology law, federal regulations, and the ability to navigate complex legal challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all core legal activities, including corporate governance, and contract negotiation
- Advise executive leadership and the Board of Directors on legal, regulatory, and business matters
- Oversee corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and licensing agreements
- Manage outside counsel relationships and legal budgets
- Develop and implement company policies to ensure legal and ethical standards are upheld
- Lead intellectual property strategy, including patent filings and trade secret protection
- Support crisis management and internal investigations as needed
- Guide legal aspects of product development, marketing, and sales initiatives
- Foster a culture of legal awareness and compliance across the organization
Qualifications & Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar required
- 15+ years of progressive legal experience, including senior roles in technology, AI, or government contracting industries
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate law, contracts, intellectual property, compliance, and regulatory affairs
- Experience advising high-growth startups and managing complex legal risks
- Strong understanding of federal procurement law, cybersecurity regulations, and data privacy (e.g., CMMC, GDPR, CCPA)
- Prior experience working with federal agencies or defense contractors preferred
- Proven ability to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice aligned with business objectives

Salary Range: 260k-325k + Options
