POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accountant will maintain and control the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.

JOB SCOPE

General Accounting will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation and processing of data  
• Maintaining and updating records 
• Verifying accuracy of data and preparing reports 
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations 
• Responding to inquiries 
• Recording, verifying, and reconciling information 
• Handle audit requirements 
• Communicating with clients and other entities as needed 

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate processing 
• Strong organizational and time management skills 
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
• Ability to multitask in a stressful environment with specific deadlines 
• Exquisite math and numerical skills 
• Familiarity with general accounting principles 
• Strong computer skills such as typing, system and software knowledge
