🧾 Reports to: Senior Financial Accountant
The Financial Accountant at IQVIA plays a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring full compliance with statutory and internal requirements, and supporting informed business decision‑making through detailed financial analysis.
This role supports complex regional operations and utilizes advanced financial systems to maintain financial integrity, efficiency, and control.
Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in line with IFRS standards
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting to regional and global stakeholders
Month‑End Close
- Prepare and post journals in PeopleSoft and SAP
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations using BlackLine, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Compliance & Statutory Submissions
- Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201, and other statutory returns for South African and regional entities
- Support income tax reconciliations and ensure compliance with local regulations
Audit Support
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Maintain audit documentation across multiple legal entities
Payroll & Salary Accounting
- Capture and post payroll journals into the accounting system
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial trends, costs, and revenues to support business and strategic decision‑making
Special Projects
- Participate in M&A activity, global tax reporting, and finance process improvement initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Currently working towards a professional qualification (e.g., SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA)
Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience in financial accounting or audit
- Exposure to a multinational environment is highly advantageous
Technical Skills
- Hands‑on experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, and BlackLine
- Advanced Excel skills required

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
