Manage and supervise daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, bank transactions, and month-end close. Prepare budgets, forecasts, general ledger analysis, audit schedules, and regulatory reports. Lead a small finance team, ensure compliance with policies, support external audits, and maintain finance programs and documentation.

  • Collate all bank statements on a monthly basis
  • Design and prepare audit schedules for external audit processors.
  • Ensure timely conduct and completion of annual audits
  • Provide support to safe keeping of internal expenses in the organization
  • Monitor account reconciliation, tax and calculations inclusive of cost accounting plus factory data recording processes
  • Manage and maintain finance related programs and documents inclusive of future plans and programs
  • Develop and formulate all reports and deliver presentation projects for repeated usage
  • Evaluate current methods and processes inclusive of upgradation of process development
  •  Engage all external stakeholders, regulators and government agencies by providing required reports, documents etc


Requirements

·         Graduate of Accounting or Banking and Finance, Economics, other numeric degree etc (candidates with disciplines other than Accounting must have commenced professional certifications by examination and show proof of previous stage’s results).

·         Experience working as Accountant in a microfinance bank or relevant financial industry that use core banking software

·         Should be able to use accounting software

·         Should be able to use core banking software

·         Should be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with timelines 

·         Ability to lead a small team and play as part of a larger team

·         Good customer service skills

·         Should have clerical and accounting knowledge



Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or other numeric degree (non-accounting candidates must have begun professional accounting certification and provide results).
  • Experience working as an Accountant in a microfinance bank or relevant financial industry using core banking software.
