The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team: 

The Enterprise Services (ES) Controller Organization is looking for a detail oriented and enterprising professional to join the General Accounting Team. The ES Controller organization has the overall responsibility for protecting the assets controlled by the Enterprise Services group, and for ensuring the accuracy of the reported financial results and transactions, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404. The position will be responsible for general accounting support including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and audit support.  This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work with detailed data, complex problem-solving skills, creativity, and effective time and resource management skills. This is a critical and challenging role with opportunity for growth.

What You Will Do

  • Supporting various projects and ad hoc requests.

  • Review and research payroll liability accounts.

  • Provide labor accounting support.

  • Supporting the reconciliation activities and close processes of the ES General Accounting team.

  • Complete general ledger accounting entries.

  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Provide bi-weekly payroll accounting support.

  • Provide month-end and quarter-end close support.

  • Complete data analysis and related corrective action associated with accounting activities.

  • Provide PwC, DCAA, and internal audit support, as needed.

  • Responsible for ad hoc projects providing exposure to Payroll, Timekeeping, Corporate Accounting, Business Accounting, SAP Competency Center, etc.

  • Exposure to and possible involvement in supporting multiple areas of ES including Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Timekeeping, Tax, Global Disbursements, Orders to Cash, Global Mobility, etc.

  • Possibilities of role expansion and rotational opportunities in all Accounting areas of the ES General Accounting team include Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Labor & Payroll, etc.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

  • 2 years of relevant work experience, gained in a Corporate Finance or Accounting environment.

  • Experience with or knowledge of SAP or other major ERP finance system.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel (Pivot Tables, V & XLookup).

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
