Job Summary

Summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a General Accountant (GL). The General Accountant (GL) will be based in …Guadalajara North…, reporting to …Accounting Manager…In this role, you will be In charge of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of Balance sheet accounts, coordination, and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/holds up as necessary.
• Research and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.
• Ensure proper control and accounting of fixed assets additions, disposals, and transfers.
• Generate reports for labor investigation, expense research, monthly balance sheet and monthly customer profit and loss statement.  Review and implement actions resulting from reports.
• Ensure budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
• Review all inter-company ICV booking and payments.
• Ensure proper accounting of all transactions.
• Ensure accurate monthly inventory valuation.
• Coordinate/oversee annual physical inventory or stock take.
• Research expenses for cost centers, departments, and projects.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience and training. 
• English is a must.
• Portuguese Nice to have
• Finance related professional certification courses is preferred (CPA, CMA, CWA, CA, CGA, CFP, APICS). Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
• Excellent Analytical skills with high attention to detail
