About the role
We are currently looking for Gender and Social Development Expert who will lead and support integration of gender, social inclusion and vulnerability considerations in road safety civil works, ensuring compliance with Government of Bangladesh and World Bank Environmental and Social Standards, including preparation, implementation and monitoring of gender and social safeguard actions under the project
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate gender and social inclusion considerations into project planning and supervision.
- Support preparation and implementation of Gender and Disability Action Plans and related social safeguards.
- Monitor gender and social performance, reporting, and grievance support.
- Assess gender and social risks related to safety improvements, land use, labour influx and access.
- Provide inputs to ES instruments and supervision processes to address gender, disability and vulnerability considerations.
About You:
- Master's degree in Anthropology/ Sociology/ Social welfare/ Development studies.
- Preferably overall professional experience: 10 years
- 5 years of similar position experience in development partner financed projects like the World Bank, ADB or JICA.
- Experience of assessment and analysis of gender and social development issues in infrastructure projects.
