We will be launching our bursary scheme for 2025 as a means of attracting exceptional young talent to the organisation. Bursaries awarded are for full-time university studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
How do I qualify?
You need to register with a reputable Southern African university for a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree and be either of the following:
- A minimum matric with a minimum pass mark of70% average aggregate
- Applications must be for full-time studies towards an academic degree at an accredited South African university.
- Applicants must be South African citizens by birth with a valid ID number.
- All applicants invited to attend an interview must be willing to undergo psychometric testing if required.
- Criminal, credit and qualification verification will be conducted.
- Undergraduate students only
- Female from previously disadvantaged population group i.e. Indian, coloured and black race.
What does a Gemalto bursary cover?
- 100% of the prescribed university tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, registration fees and exam fees.
- An amount equal to the average rate for accommodation in a single room at a university residents at the university at which the Gemalto bursary is studying.
- An amount for meals based on three meals per day, as determined by the university.
