Internship Job / Project Overview:
Richmond Service Center is introducing 7F rotor repairs. The service center is targeted for growth based on this new repair introduction. The scope introduction will require significant support to develop the proper methods and standard work around it. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to be part of the development of such standard work, accounting for the Richmond shop specifics.
Project Outcomes:
- To be able to develop and document the repairs internal standard work.
- To support during the implementation and introduction of the new repairs scopes in Richmond Service Center (7F rotors).
- To support the development and growth of volume (in repair hours) targeted due to the 7F Repairs in Richmond Service Center.
- To highlight the different opportunities and challenges that the development of the internal standard work might represent.

Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Minimum 4.0 GPA out of 5.0.
Desired Qualifications:
Preference for new product introductions and repair line development. Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt quickly to new information and changing circumstances.

The pay for this position ranges from $25-27/hr. based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed
This position is also eligible for:
- Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
- Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
- Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
- GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
