This is a hands-on, build-and-shape opportunity to modernize how access and entitlements are designed and managed across Global Banking. You’ll help deliver a simpler, faster experience for the business while strengthening controls and audit readiness at scale.
As a Business Operations Associate within the Global Banking (GB) Systems Access & Entitlements team, you will be responsible for helping modernize how access and entitlements are designed, granted, and governed across Commercial Banking, Global Corporate Banking, and Global Investment Banking. Partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Technology, you will streamline end-to-end access workflows, reduce excess access, and strengthen audit readiness—delivering stronger controls without adding operational friction. In this role, you will close long-standing gaps, create durable efficiencies, and elevate our control posture in a collaborative, people-first environment.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for user alignment and system entitlements across Global Banking front office and Business Operations.
- Review and approve non-automated entitlement requests from front-office managers, reducing administrative burden while enforcing least-privilege standards.
- Translate RBAC concepts into clear, business-friendly language; align stakeholders on role definitions, standards, and change adoption.
- Define and evolve role criteria (RBAC—and where appropriate, ABAC), establish segregation-of-duties guardrails, and remediate over-provisioning and access gaps.
- Execute ad-hoc and scheduled recertifications; monitor dashboards and reports for inappropriate access; document business justification for exceptions; and close remediation within SLAs.
- Plan coverage for transfers, backfills, and organizational changes to prevent access gaps and ensure continuity.
- Own weekly transfers, user alignment, and application updates; prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Analyze high-volume access data and exception trends; build metrics and reporting (e.g., time-to-access, exception rates, remediation aging) using tools such as Excel and Alteryx.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Technology, and RBAC advisory teams to streamline provisioning workflows and automate repetitive tasks with standardized playbooks.
Prepare audit-ready documentation and evidence; support internal and external reviews; and drive continuous improvements that enhance efficiency and resilience.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Seasoned in identity and access management, controls/risk operations, and adjacent banking/technology roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of role-based access controls (RBAC), least privilege, segregation of duties, and the provisioning/recertification lifecycle.

- Fluent with data, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills; able to derive insights from large datasets and drive action.
- High attention to detail with a bias for swift, accurate execution; comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to change.
