We are looking for a Gateway & Chain Operations Specialist to own the operational side of Tatum Gateway, blockchain provider integrations, chain onboarding, and infrastructure provider management.
Tatum Gateway is a core product layer built on top of RPC nodes and providers. It allows Tatum to connect multiple blockchain infrastructure providers, route traffic, balance load, improve reliability, and expose blockchain RPC access to customers through a unified interface.
This role will be responsible for managing both the internal and customer-facing side of this area. You will work with third-party providers, review pricing and reliability, control infrastructure costs, test new providers and chains, support routing decisions, and help ensure that Tatum Gateway remains reliable, scalable, and commercially sustainable.
The long-term vision is to allow Tatum customers to choose from multiple pre-integrated infrastructure providers directly through Tatum Gateway. This role will help build, operate, and manage that provider ecosystem.
What we need help with- Own operational management of Tatum Gateway, RPC providers, upstreams, and chain-related infrastructure.
- Support onboarding of new blockchain networks, providers, and infrastructure services into Tatum Gateway.
- Test new blockchain chains, RPC interfaces, providers, and infrastructure integrations.
- Verify new providers, upstreams, and third-party infrastructure options.
- On a regular basis, review provider reliability, pricing, technical capabilities, SLA, support quality, and operational fit.
- Coordinate provider negotiations, cost checks, and infrastructure-related commercial inputs.
- Monitor infrastructure costs, provider usage, profitability, and COGS impact.
- Perform upstream cleanups, reconfiguration, routing updates, and provider changes.
- Help define provider routing logic, failover behavior, load balancing, and reliability improvements.
- Support the vision of offering multiple provider options to customers through Tatum Gateway.
- Create, review and maintain Postman collections for chain and Gateway-related APIs.
- Create and review technical documentation, changelogs, and internal or external chain-related materials.
- Help to monitor infrastructure problems, degraded services, recurring issues, and production incidents.
- Evaluate production issues and coordinate follow-up actions with Infrastructure, Support, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Support provider migrations, chain deprecations, customer communication, and operational readiness.
Requirements

- You communicate clearly and can translate technical findings into practical business and operational decisions.
- You are pragmatic, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize based on customer impact, cost, reliability, and operational risk.
- You take ownership and are able to drive topics from investigation to production readiness.
- You have experience with Postman, technical documentation, changelogs, or customer-facing technical updates.
- You have experience with Linux, observability, CI/CD, monitoring, logs, or infrastructure automation.
- Experience with public blockchain networks and RPC providers.
- Experience with gateway products, API platforms, routing, load balancing, or failover logic.
Skills Required
- Understanding of APIs, infrastructure providers, routing, monitoring, and production reliability.
