We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established, collaborative gastroenterology team serving a growing community in New York's Finger Lakes region.

Position Overview

The Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient digestive health services, performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures while collaborating with primary care physicians and specialists to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
• Manage both acute and chronic digestive diseases
Endoscopic Procedures
• Perform upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy procedures
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures
• Provide procedural care in both the ambulatory surgery center and hospital setting
Clinical Collaboration
• Consult with primary care providers and referring physicians
• Coordinate care with surgeons and other medical specialists
• Review patient histories, diagnostic testing, and imaging to guide treatment decisions
Documentation & Quality
• Maintain accurate medical records and procedural documentation
• Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines and quality standards
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives


RequirementsRequired Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York
• Proficiency performing upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology practice
• Interest in building long-term patient relationships
• Commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary care
