Primary Duties
1. Confirms nominations at pipeline interconnections within all cycle deadlines and resolves discrepancies in shippers' nominations daily; and provides daily information to Gas Control, to assist in maintaining pipeline integrity and assisting the team with volumetric imbalances.
2. Ensures the integrity of final scheduled volumes recorded in the internal systems for accurate allocation and invoicing. Resolves past, present, and future scheduling discrepancies and responds to questions pertaining to customer transactions.
3. Administers and controls capacity utilization when pipeline locations are constrained and maintains a functional knowledge of various aspects of gas supply and the mechanics of the daily operations of different pipelines. Works with Marketing and Gas Control to solve operational challenges daily.
4. Proficient with various pipeline websites and monitors them daily by NAESB cycles. Obtains scheduled volumes, reconciles differences from the original or confirmed nominations, and appropriately applies adjustments to effected shipper accounts; balances the pipeline by cycle for Gas Control when conditions deem it necessary.
5. Interfaces directly and assists customers on all aspects of the scheduling process. Serves as a liaison with other internal departments to resolve customer issues related to pipeline upsets, Operational Flow Order’s, maintenance, gas batching, imbalance disputes, and Force Majeure.
6. Manages operational balancing agreements daily; Monitors and reports daily receipts and deliveries at interconnects for imbalance positions. Provides recommendations and communicates with the appropriate parties to eliminate imbalance risk and to minimize volumetric and financial exposure. Helps manage transportation imbalances and tracks storage activity/inventory.
7. Prepares various reports and responses for regulatory commissions, accounting departments, internal and external auditors, and management reporting.
8. Skilled in various types of nominations (Profile, PAL, Storage, through system, Pool). Processes multiple intraday system changes, ensuring new business gets confirmed by pipeline operator and volumes communicated to Gas Control.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level
Requires bachelor's degree in business or a related field and two years of related experience; or equivalent.
Communication Skills
Requires the ability to communicate with, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers on matters of a complex nature. Requires versatility in building relationships and communications with internal and external customers. Strong ability to multi-task while staying focused and aligned with team, divisional and corporate goals.
Numeric Skills
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
Computer Skills
Requires working knowledge of various software applications to create and maintain documents, reports, spreadsheets, and/or graphics.
Work Conditions
Works in an office environment.
Works in an office environment. Subject to working after hours, on weekends, and on holidays as needed. After-hours and weekend, on-call coverage is required; Participates in a rotational on-call assignment After-Hours and weekend coverage is required. Ability to nominate, confirm, and schedule gas out of the office; run and distribute reports while providing pipe support for external customers, Gas Control, and Marketing.
Performs essential services during times of inclement weather.
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
