What You Will Do:
Perform Engineering Critical Assessments (ECAs) for Gas Transmission Midstream (GTM) pipelines requiring Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) reconfirmation, including Method 3 assessments, failure pressure and remaining life evaluations, and analysis of key threats and their interactions.
Drive structured implementation of Gas Mega Rule (GMR) requirements by aligning engineering analysis, integrity data, and regulatory expectations through focused technical leadership.
Develop defensible Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) reports, critical flaw curves, and engineering recommendations to support MAOP validation, Inline Inspection (ILI) re‑inspection intervals, and long‑term asset reliability.
Support GTM integrity program delivery by enhancing the GMR Power BI dashboard, managing integrity datasets, coordinating Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs), project planning, and budgets, and supporting the MAOP‑R Master Schedule and Long‑Range Plan updates.
Engage collaborators in clear technical discussions to communicate integrity risks, assessment outcomes, and mitigation actions, enabling informed decision-making and effective execution.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university or college.
Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta. If in the US, preference is to have a PE.
6 or more years of progressive and diverse pipeline, facility, and/or storage validated experience.
Strong pipeline and/or facilities integrity expertise, including systems, tools, and industry standards.
Proven experience in ILI inspection technologies, threat assessments, pressure cycling, and pipeline fundamentals (6+ years).
Sound decision-making and analytical judgment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and technical reporting skills, proficient in Microsoft tools and experienced in planning, budgeting, and capital project lifecycles.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
Working Conditions:
Office environment.
Minimal travel (<5%) for field/site visits. Ability to travel and work on projects throughout Canada and United States. Valid passport is required.
