The Games Copywriter position is a hybrid role on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based at Keywords International Limited HQ in South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.
Role Overview
Clash Royale is known for its unique characters and wacky universe. This is your opportunity to work closely with the team and help them write the next chapter of the game!
We are looking for a dynamic writer with a style that delights, informs, and entertains, all at once or separately as needed. You will directly impact the player experience with texts that bring our characters to life and make the game understandable and accessible to our global audience.
In this position, you will work directly with the Helsinki-based development team, monitor development, learn their needs, and use your creative mind to help shape the stories of the future! You will write for both seasonal and permanent content, as well as offer cards, informational popups, and just about anything else the player might read in-game!
At Supercell, we cherish autonomy, and so we expect you to independently plan your work according to deadlines communicated by the development team. We want you to have a proactive attitude in seeking information you don’t have. Your availability for us is key, as requests might come in with short notice. Duties and Responsibilities
- Create delightful, engaging, but information-dense texts to entertain and inform.
- Help further refine and define the style of in-game texts, and bring older texts up to date.
- Participate actively in ideation and brainstorming in the early stages of development to ensure that future content is engaging and memorable.
- Actively communicate to get the information you need in order to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of copy.
- Be the full owner of copy in the game, from writing the texts to having them sent to our localization partner and updating our repository with the latest localizations.
Required
- 2 + years of experience as a Copywriter.
- Native level proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Education to Degree or Masters level in English.
Nice to have
- Be an avid Clash Royale player.
- Be familiar with Git and Gridly.
- Experience working with creative agencies.
