Job Responsibilities :We are seeking a Game Development AI Tools Manager to lead the development and implementation of AI-powered tools that enhance game development. This role focuses on building AI tools for game developers, designers and animators in creating immersive, intelligent, and efficient gaming experiences.As a key player, you will manage a team of data scientists and AI software engineers, work closely with game developers and technical artists, and drive the adoption of AI in the entire game development workflow across the studio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the development of AI tools for game developers in game studios, such as asset creation tools, NPC engine, voice synthesis and many more, by integrating with AI primitives and AI models.
Ensure that such AI tools have seamless integration with game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine).
Design AI-powered data analytics tools to analyze player behavior and optimize engagement.
Work with internal AI primitives team, AI data engineering.
Collaborate with game studios, game developers, animators, and gameplay engineers to align AI tools with production needs.
Manage a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and tool developers.
Advocate for AI best practices and innovation in game development workflows.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to AI engineers and developers.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in AI development for games or interactive applications
2+ years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing AI-driven product development
Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure, agile environment.
Ability to drive innovation and adoption of AI tools in a game studio, with a passion for AI-driven creativity in game development.
Proven experience in AI-powered tool development for game production
Strong in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#.
Experience in using game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine
Experience in developing and deploying applications running on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform using Infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, containerization tools like Dockers.
Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning to apply them in the development of Game Development AI Tools
Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of leading successful AI projects with game studios, while working cross functionally across multiple teams.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business problems into actionable insights.
Education & Experience
4-year Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Game Development, AI, or related field from an accredited institution.
Travel Requirements
Role based in Singapore office and may require up to 1 travel trip per year.
