The G/FORE Retoucher is responsible for high-quality retouching of on-figure and product imagery across all brand channels, including digital, e-commerce, and print. This role plays a critical part in maintaining brand consistency, visual excellence, and post-production efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in exceeding customer expectations and ensuring our products are represented accurately. This lead role will need to step in to manage post-production workflows as needed, collaborate cross-functionally, and help scale processes as the business continues to grow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Retouching on-figure and product imagery to meet G/FORE’s branding and deadlines across all channels (e-commerce, marketing, social, and print).
  • Responsible for ensuring visual consistency and adherence to the brand’s style guide for all retouched images.
  • Maintain the retouching guideline books seasonally by updating any new procedures and quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative production team, Design, Product, Marketing, and E-Commerce teams to ensure alignment on visual direction and delivery needs.
  • Partner with the Photo Studio Manager and creative production team to manage post-production workflows, timelines, and prioritization.
  • Ability to receive creative direction from creative production team and cross-functional partners and implement revisions.
  • Open to exploring new initiatives to improve workflow and to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Source and evaluate freelance and vendor who align with G/FORE’s brand standards.
  • Manage and supervise any necessary outsourcing of retouching when needed to ensure the resulting work adheres to the brand’s standards and consistency.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal and external teams to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Image and video QC ensuring correct file naming, resolution, cropping, color profiles, and delivery standards.
  • Support with light video editing and QC for digital and social deliverables as needed.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong understanding of color management & theory, retouching standards, and image consistency across platforms.
  • Knowledge of the commercial printing process (CMYK) and digital (RGB).
  • Knowledge of the G/FORE’s brand and customer to deliver consistent high standard assets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Self-directed with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to anticipate production needs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt, collaborate, and receive feedback constructively.
  • Highly organized with a strong track record of meeting production deadlines without compromising quality.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in photography, digital imaging, or related field
  • 5+ years prior experience as a Retoucher in a commercial, e-commerce, or high-volume production environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrate experience in managing freelancers or external vendors
  • Expertise in Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Global Edit / Capture One, or any other similar applications
  • Comfortable working in Google Docs, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Experience using project management tools such as Monday, Asana, or similar.
  • Experienced with Premier Pro or similar video editing software is a plus
