The PD & Production Associate will work on all Quick Turn and Special Projects Apparel, Accessories, and Footwear. They will collaborate with the design and tech teams to meet calendar deliverables. This role is a dynamic mix of project management and technical and analytical skills that are aimed at achieving the best product for G/FORE.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with Director of Product Development to be the liaison between design and tech.
  • Collaborate with Production team on bulk approvals and deliverables to support launch dates.
  • Communicate with mills and factories to ensure accurate sample execution and tracking.
  • Attend fittings when necessary for Apparel development.
  • Style creation and maintenance of all Style Setups in the Style Master/PLM.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Designer to set up and update tech packs.
  • Communicate necessary updates to all cross-functional team members from key milestone meetings.
  • Interface with fabric and trim vendors for all new developments, track sampling fees and manage digital library.
  • Assist on requesting all salesman samples, photo shoot samples and wear test samples.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Great time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Accurate organizational methods with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, vendors and clients.
  • Strong understanding of calendar and product lifecycle.  

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in the product development field.
  • Optimistic self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in textiles and apparel.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and Outlook proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
  • PLM experience preferred.
