We are looking to hire someone in FX engineering with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers. 
The person should have a deep understanding of engineering principles and processes and have technical experience. 
Excellent ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and to listen actively. 
Capacity to develop and implement long-term technical goals and strategies. 
Ability to make sound technical and operational decisions, often based on data and analysis. 
Proficiency in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to meet deadlines and objectives. 
Aptitude for analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. 

Responsibilities :

Manage and mentor engineering staff, conduct performance reviews, facilitate skill development, and foster a collaborative and psychologically safe team environment. 
Guide product design, analyze technical feasibility, and make data-driven technical decisions, often making final decisions when necessary. 
Implement and maintain quality assurance and control processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and oversee root cause analysis for issues. 
Plan, direct, and coordinate engineering projects, including creating detailed plans, overseeing execution, managing resources, and ensuring timely completion within budget.
Establish technical goals, contribute to strategic plans and objectives, and evaluate project feasibility and market demand. 
Present proposals and findings to clients, consult with management and marketing, and serve as a technical liaison with non-technical stakeholders. 
Identify and implement process improvements for product development, manufacturing, and project management to increase efficiency and reduce waste. 

Desired :
Someone from a large financial firm with at least 15 years of technical experience having managed teams for at least 5 years.
