Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a Fuze Systems Program Manager to join our Test Instrumentation and Lethal Mechanisms (TI&LM) team in Huntsville, AL.
The TI&LM portfolio specializes in the development and production of flight data acquisition, telemetry, and electronic fusing products for DoD and Aerospace customers. As the Fuze Systems Program Manager, you will report to the TI&LM Portfolio Manager and have supervisory responsibility for a small team of 2-5 direct reports.
In this role, you will lead the execution and development efforts for the Electronic Safe and Arm Fuze (ESAF) and Heigh of Burst (HOB) / Proximity Sensor scope within the portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities include:

Delivering on customer and financial commitments (i.e. Annual Operating Plan); ensuring that programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Leading & managing a team of technical SMEs and project management professionals

Interfacing with customers to develop relationships and ensure the highest quality of service

Planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives

Providing business expertise to proposals and ensure submissions align with mission, financial, and Division strategic objectives
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Developing proposal basis of estimate (BOEs) for new business opportunities; presenting business case, etc. to senior leadership (i.e. Division & Business Area Reviews)

Supporting recurring status reporting (i.e. 5-15 inputs, PMRs, In-depth reviews, MR/IPRs)

Collaborating cross-functionally by interfacing with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel. Key internal partners include manufacturing, business development, finance, quality, engineering, supplier management and contracts.

Providing solutions to identified deficiencies within the portfolio’s planning and execution

Occasional travel my be required for in-person engagements with external customers and suppliers
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of recent relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of recent relevant experience.

Must have minimum 4 years’ experience supervising or leading teams or projects

Working technical knowledge/understanding of fuze systems
-
Demonstrated experience in leading development or production teams to develop hardware / software solutions.

Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Must be a US citizen possess a DoD secret clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a final secret clearance.
Must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area
Preferred Qualifications

ESAF / HOBs (Proximity senor) familiarity and experience

Proficiency with Fusion, Costpoint, Agile PLM

Prior proposal / business development experience (i.e. BOE development)

Master’s degree in Business Administration

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
