EquipmentShare is searching for a Senior Accountant to add to the Accounting & Financial Reporting team at our Corporate office in Columbia, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, employee-minded company.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Play an integral role in the accounting for various business transactions of a rapidly growing, nation-wide business. 
  • Use formulas, pivot tables and macros to manage and report data accordingly. 
  • Assist with accounting research, preparation of journal entries, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Assist with reconciling accounts and other month end closing responsibilities.
  • Communicate across various departments within the Company to create and maintain efficient workflows and processes.
  • Evaluate process flows of information for key business processes, identifying the systems, risks, key reports used, and relevant internal controls from initiation to recording of transactions.
  • Diagnose opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of various accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to streamline processes, design new workflows when needed, implement new systems, and train new team members.
  • Work with the team (including Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer) on strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting.
  • At least 3 years of public accounting experience and a CPA is preferred. 
  • Complex fixed asset or lease accounting experience is a preferred. 
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You’re an expert using Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
  • Process focused and detail-oriented individual who strives for accuracy.
  • You are highly organized, pay attention to details, and able to multi-task.
