Are you the kind of person who says “just one more chapter”... and suddenly it’s 4AM and you’re crying over fictional people? Do you know your grumpy x sunshine from your enemies to lovers? Can you quote your favorite book boyfriend better than your own wedding vows? (We won’t tell.)
We’re looking for a funny, creative, romance-obsessed content creator to join our team and bring our stories to life! You’ll create TikToks, Reels, memes, written reviews and email content that will make our community of middle aged romance readers laugh, swoon, and immediately click to read our new small-town single dad cowboy romance.
What You’ll Do:
- Create funny, relatable, and on-trend BookTok-style videos (we’re talking “me reading a smutty book in public” and “me saying one last chapter at 4am when I have work at 7”)
- Make memes that romance readers will feel in their soul
- Write engaging book reviews that feel like a bestie recommending her latest obsession
- Stay on top of romance book trends, tropes, drama, and discourse (you know what’s happening in the Spice-o-Meter™ world)
- Collaborate with our team to brainstorm new content ideas that keep our audience entertained, informed, and emotionally unwell over fictional characters
- Speak fluent Trope: you can turn “fake dating but real feelings” into a whole content series
You Might Be Our Perfect Match If You:
- Are a romance reader to your core — you know your alpha holes, morally grey kings, cinnamon roll heroes, and you’ve got opinions on reverse harems
- Have a great sense of humor and know how to make readers over 30 laugh about their book habits (yes, the TBR pile is crushing us slowly)
- Are comfortable on camera and love showing personality in short-form video content
- Can edit videos (basic editing on TikTok, CapCut, or Reels — nothing fancy, just vibes)
- Have experience creating content on TikTok or Instagram (personal or professional)
- Know what tropes hit (and which ones give the ick)
- Can write like you're texting your group chat about the steamy Regency duke you just fell for
- Have experience deep diving into social media analytics
- Have a data brain & a business mindset
- Tech startup experience
- Exude joyful energy
- Have experience with email templates
- Location: 3x onsite in San Francisco, CA

- Can design cute graphics, meme templates, & email templates
- Are up for doing dramatic readings of cringey-but-iconic dialogue
