The Funeral Director serves a dual role within a funeral home, managing both the administrative and practical aspects of funeral services. As the Funeral Director, they coordinate funeral arrangements, offer support to bereaved families, and oversee the logistical elements of the service. As an Embalmer, they are responsible for preparing, preserving, and restoring the deceased's body, ensuring it is presented in a dignified manner for viewings and services. Both roles demand a high level of professionalism, empathy, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of the funeral industry's regulatory and ethical standards.
The Funeral Director in charge is ultimately responsible for all services, documents, and activities surrounding the funeral establishment. Additionally, The Funeral Director and Embalmer will assist families in ensuring Osage burial customs are met.
