If you’re successful in your application, we’ll perform some background checks as part of our pre-employment screening process. These will include a DBS (disclosure and barring service) and adverse media checks which includes social media activity on platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Skills Required
- Comfortable with direct physical contact with the deceased and assisting in their preparation (hair, make-up, moving deceased)
- Ability to carry out physical elements of the role, including safe manual handling of coffins
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and colleagues
- Ability to confidently work with numbers and perform basic calculations (cash handling, discounts, invoicing, simple data entry)
- Good IT skills and ability to use and learn systems on computers, tablets, smartphones, printers and client management applications
- Keen eye for detail and accuracy to ensure regulatory policies and processes are adhered to
- High levels of empathy, discretion and care when supporting bereaved clients
- Willingness to work part-time schedule (18.75 hours/week) including specified days and hours and occasionally being sole branch staff
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including DBS and adverse media checks
