Chapel of the Chimes Hayward Funeral Home and Memorial Park is looking for a Funeral Arranger to join our team in Oakland, CA where we offer a passionate and purpose-filled work environment. The Funeral Arranger serves as a trusted guide and compassionate resource for families as they navigate the loss of a loved one. This role is responsible for coordinating funeral and memorial arrangements, providing support throughout the planning process, and ensuring every detail is handled with care, professionalism, and respect. The ideal candidate is service-driven, highly organized, and committed to creating meaningful experiences that honor each life while helping families through one of their most difficult moments.
Responsibilities
- Arrange and assist with funeral and memorial services for families
- Prepare the memorial area for the family before the services start
- Maintain reverence and respect for the deceased at all times
- Ensure that all federal, state, and local regulations related to the funeral industry are followed
Qualifications
- A caring heart, and a passion for helping the community in need
- 1+ year of funeral industry experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right person.
- Professional communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations in a professional manner
- Proficient computer skills, including ability to effectively use applications and web-based platforms to complete daily tasks
Compensation range of $26-28/hr.
