- Manage the entire Canadian accounting lifecycle for complex Venture Capital and Private Equity Canadian funds
- Partner with fund accounting teams to support quarter-end and annual close processes, maintain accuracy in position tracking, and assist in providing documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Support frontline investment professionals and relationship managers with timely and accurate servicing data
- Deliver best-in-class service to the customer base through institutional-grade operational rigor, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proactive issue resolution across all Canadian clients.
- Define and execute a roadmap for Canadian funds spanning product enhancements, service optimization, and AI-enabled automation to scale capabilities and differentiate Carta's fund CFO platform.
- Provide expertise in IFRS, ASPE, and Canadian GAAP
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Canadian fund accounting team that grows with Carta's fund admin business while maintaining operational excellence and fostering continuous development.
- Bridge operations and Go-To-Market strategy by partnering on customer scoping, implementation feasibility assessment, and solution architecture to ensure commercial commitments align with delivery capabilities.
You’ll be joining our Fund Administration team as our first Canada hire, a growing function dedicated to supporting Carta’s accounting platform by maintaining precision and efficiency across all stages of the Canadian fund lifecycle.
Our mission is to provide institutional-grade support to the investment, fund accounting, and fund administration teams by managing trade settlements, cash flows, and notification workflows across diverse and complex credit instruments. We champion operational excellence and risk management while scaling Carta’s loan servicing capabilities as our private credit strategies continue to grow.

- 5+ years of experience recommended in VC or PE Canadian fund accounting
- Expertise in IFRS, ASPE, and Canadian GAAP
