Fund Controller – GP Fund Solutions
As a Fund Controller at GPFS, your work drives client success, supports investors, and strengthens lasting relationships; all while growing your own career! You will manage the financial operations of a portfolio of private market funds, delivering accurate, timely reporting while acting as a trusted adviser to clients. Beyond traditional fund accounting, you will collaborate across fund administration, corporate services, transfer agency and client operations, gaining exposure to the complete fund lifecycle - from fund launch and onboarding through capital activity, investor servicing, financial reporting, audits and ultimately fund wind-down.
Working in a growing team, you will have opportunities to contribute beyond your core responsibilities, helping to develop processes, enhance operational efficiency, support technology initiatives and improve the quality of data used to drive reporting and decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with problem solving, client interaction and continuous improvement in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Join GP Fund Solutions (GPFS) - a people-first fund administrator serving clients across the US, UK, and EU. We offer a collaborative culture, real career growth, and benefits that invest in your future.
Talk to us about this exciting stage of our European growth! This is a unique opportunity to become part of a newly established, regulated business where you’ll play a key role in shaping operations while working alongside experienced fund administration professionals.
Why Luxembourg?
Our Luxembourg office received its CSSF regulatory approval and PSF license in October 2025, marking an important milestone in GPFS’s international expansion. Today, our local team consists of six professionals, creating a genuinely collaborative environment where every individual makes a visible impact.
Unlike larger, more established offices where responsibilities are often specialized, our Luxembourg team works across all aspects of fund administration. During this exciting growth phase, you can expect broad exposure to the full operational lifecycle of alternative investment funds, including fund launches, investor onboarding, accounting, financial reporting, corporate governance, regulatory obligations, audits, and client relationship management.
This is an opportunity to accelerate your career by developing a wider skillset than would typically be available in a traditional fund accounting role, while helping build GPFS’s long-term presence in Europe’s leading private funds jurisdiction.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the delivery and review of accurate, timely financial reporting for a portfolio of private investment fund clients, including financial statements, partner capital statements, and investor reporting.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing technical accounting expertise, managing client relationships, and ensuring exceptional client service.
- Oversee external audits, annual tax reporting, and the preparation and review of partner capital activity, capital calls, waterfall calculations, distributions, and management fee calculations.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team by providing mentorship, performance feedback, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to automate processes, standardize workflows, and enhance efficiency through technology-enabled solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Data & Analytics, and Technology teams to improve reporting, data quality, and support new client onboarding and fund launches.
- Contribute to the firm's continued growth by supporting business development initiatives and participating in strategic projects that enhance client service and operational performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Why GPFS?
- Strong training plans and materials provided.
- Company Paid Medical Coverage.
- Company-Paid Life Insurance.
- Generous Holiday Allowance.
- Inclusive, team-oriented culture where people come first.
