Ops Group Description
The Global Fund Administration department is responsible for the oversight of approximately 600 pooled vehicles domiciled in the US, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, as well as other global locations across the world. We oversee the day to day Net Asset Value calculation as well as the regulatory and client reporting requirements as required on a product by product basis. We are seeking a Luxembourg based Fund Administration Analyst to join our Accounting Team in Global Fund Administration
About the Role
The Fund Administration Analyst plays a key role in the administration of the day to day activities of all pooled vehicles for the Global Fund Administration department. The candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the requirements of our internal and external customers are managed efficiently and effectively as we look to provide “Best in Class Service” to all of our customers.
Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:
This role supports the firm’s pooled vehicles and GFA overseas all pooled products for the firm
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure Fund Compliance with regulators (ie CSSF and other regulatory bodies)
- Prepare/Review reports and schedules for Internal Customers (Portfolio Managers, Marketing, Legal, etc.)
- Support product development initiatives, with focus on regulatory compliance & advising on tax issues
- Assist in overseeing the delegated functions from AB to 3rd parties, such as accounting, administration, audit & tax reporting, etc
- Assist in audit coordination and Shareholder Report review
- Prepare income analysis for Dividend Committee Meetings
- Review expense analysis as well as creating new budgets
- Resolve operational problems or issues
- Review and understand various fee calculations (management, distribution, servicing, and for alternative funds – incentive and/or waterfall calculations )
- Understand alternative fund structures (hedge vs private equity) and the nuances that come with the various structures as it related to capital activity (sub/reds vs capital commitments), distributions and incentive/waterfall fee calculations
- Analyze NAV Calculations for accuracy
- Recommend and participate in the implementation of changes and enhancements to the department
- Keep management informed of any problems that arise on assigned funds
- Assist on special projects as needed
- Process Improvements.

The role does not entail performing day to day accounting, which can become redundant and mundane whereas our role is more dynamic and analytical in nature.
