Position Overview:

The Fund Accountant will support the day-to-day investment portfolio accounting of the Company’s US and International retail investment funds. The Fund Accountant will work closely with the Company’s Senior Fund Accountants, Accounting Managers, and General Partners (“GP”).

Essential Job Functions:

This hands-on, detail-oriented position will:

  • Coordinate and summarize all communications with fund GPs including capital calls, distributions and amendments
  • Track daily investment activity and new investment fundings and coordinate the payment process
  • Updating SEC required assessments based on liquidity analyses
  • Provide assistance with updates to portfolio management data (SPI) and weekly reconciliations
  • Assist in monitoring the deal pipeline
  • Perform operational due diligence for each new GP and investments
  • Support the accounting team in the closing of transactions and the review of allocations
  • Support various fund administrators and coordinate delivery of required reporting,
  • Summarize and track key portfolio attributes to perform analytical analyses
  • Respond to sub-adviser and team member requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with daily work associated with accounting and reporting functions over investment portfolios
  • Assist with preparation of monthly investment valuation
  • Review daily valuation utilizing SPI and administrator reports and approve daily NAV
  • Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a four-year college degree with a major in Accounting
  • One to three years of accounting or audit experience
  • Previous experience with Investment Company Accounting and ASC 820 (FAS 157) preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Astute attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently, but contribute in a team-oriented environment

Salary Range: $70,000-85,000

The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position.  Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience.  The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
