JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, Finance Portfolio the Product owner:

  • Maintains and enhances Financial Planning and Profitability/Cost Analysis applications in SAP PaPM
  • Supports day to day planning and reporting processes and trains and supports super users across the organization
  • Supports strategic technology projects in SAP Performance and Profitability Management


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete critical and advanced SAP PaPM training to become a technical expert
  • Solution and process expert in McCain's planning, cost and profitability calculation models in PaPM
  • Support Global and Regional Finance teams in Planning and Reporting processes in SAP PaPM
  • Day to day maintenance of tables, calculations, allocations, user access and integration of data with SAP ECC, SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Troubleshoot integrated modules that involve complex data pulls, tables, views and multi-step allocations
  • Prepare end user documentation and lead training and user adoption
  • Gathers and documents functional requirements and converts them into technical specifications to initiative development
  • Build and optimize calculations, models and reports in PaPM using input from multiple datasources
  • Coordinates issue resolution and development activities with relevant Finance and technology teams
  • Support team members to strengthen internal knowledge of building, running and validating allocations
  • Troubleshoot integrated modules that involve complex data pulls and table views and multiple allocations.
  • Collaborate with IT resources and business users to provide 1st class deliverables
  • Perform/lead all levels of testing, data validation and support for new, modified, or existing models and applications
  • Proactively safeguard database integrity and security
  • Stay informed about timing and new features in SAP PaPM releases


MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • The SAP PaPM Specialist has a deep knowledge of the technology, business processes, and key users.
  • Combined business & technical background, eager to learn how to use PaPM models to meet planning and profitability and cost analysis demands.
  • Ability to work with diverse Finance and Technology teams to ensure business process continuity and project success
  • Excellent Analytical, problem solving, prioritization and collaboration skills.


KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/computer science/engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Consumer goods industry or Manufacturing experience and will be an asset
  • Knowledge in Enterprise Performance Management, Consolidation and Financial Analysis systems (e.g. SAP Performance and Profitability Management, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BPC, OneStream, Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Anaplan) and expertise in analytical models and business intelligence
  • Knowledge of databases and experience using multiple data sources to create reports and views using SQL or analytical tools
  • A solid understanding of Record to Report processes and Finance master data
  • Expertise in SAP Finance will be an asset
  • Experience working within an agile project delivery framework
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across levels and functions internally and with third parties
  • Experience working in a fast paced, changing environment with ambiguous conditions, dealing with both internal and external customers, including cross functional teams

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
