The Role
As a Functional/Domain Specialist with expertise in Debt/investment management, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing success by delivering quality and timely services during and post-implementation of our products to our customers for all project deployments. This position will require gathering requirements and configuring the FreeBalance Accountability Suite to comply to the proposed solution and requirements of the project for the Ministry of Finance in Costa Rica.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Gathering requirements and configuring the FreeBalance Accountability suite to align to the business processes of the client
  • Monitor system performance and generate periodic performance/monitoring reports
  • Updating the Project Director on the progress of assigned tasks and activities
  • Updating the documentation that results in customer deliveries
  • Reviewing the Deliveries of features and functions and testing it for acceptance prior to providing it to the client
  • Working with the Professional Services Consultants in FreeBalance and coordinating deliveries with the customer
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Display the ability to both lead and support
  • Should be results-oriented
  • Ability to relate complex ideas in a manner that may be comprehended by staff with little background in ICT and public financial management techniques
  • Possesses the ability to work under pressure while managing several tasks
  • Candidates should be fluent in English and Spanish
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and Research and Development on future product requirements based on interaction with the client

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree or above in Accounting/ Business Management/ Finance.
  • 5 years experience in implementing Investment Management, Debt Management, Accounting Management ERP System(s).
  • Experience working in the public financial management reform program and working with information management systems would be considered an asset
  • Deep Industry Knowledge in Debt and Investment for governments (bonds, dividends and treasury bills etc).
  • Business and Operational Dynamics: Knowing the processes, workflows, and regulatory frameworks within the industry.
  • Market Trends and Influences: Staying up-to-date on economic conditions, market trends, and factors that impact government investment decisions.
  • Capabilities in applying tools, techniques, and methodologies relevant to debt and investment.
