Functional Consultant - Finance and Data Technology
Location London (EC2R 7HJ) Hybrid working options (up to 3/4 days WFH)
Permanent - Full time 35 hours

As the Functional Consultant - Finance and Data Technology you'll be a key part of the team that manages, develops, and innovates with the technology that our Financial Planning, Actuarial, Tax, Corporate Reporting and ESG teams use to help Bupa achieve our ambitions. You'll be scoping, shaping, and delivering the technology that drives our financial decisions, supports our planning, enables reporting, and ensures that we are a sustainable organisation.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
Working closely with stakeholders across the areas listed above throughout the entire product life cycle, , you will conduct detailed technical and data analysis and translate this into plans to deliver value for Bupa and our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

Act as the subject matter expert for all products in this domain, using methodical investigation and design thinking shape and deliver change and continuous improvement.

Use data to track, monitor, and report on the efficacy of products and recommend improvements or solutions.

Play a key role in major transformation initiatives to help define new solutions working with key Finance and Technology stakeholders.

Develop user stories using workshops, proto-typing, mock ups, visualisation, and domain knowledge to understand and meet user requirements.

Identify and tackle any backlogs of activity in relation to product requirement, development, or improvement.

Own the continuous improvement of products, defining and maintaining the system configuration. deployments, functional product reviews, and developing technical testing.

Work in an agile manner breaking work into small increments and building out patterns and processes that can be repeated.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
-
Experience in a similar role with deep product knowledge across technologies used in the domains listed above.

Strong understanding and experience of functional and technical design.
-
Significant experience and track-record in delivering in and leveraging agile methodologies.

Experience in acceptance and outcome criteria gathering and translation to user stories.

Excellent standard of written and presentation skills
-
Strong influencing skills across stakeholders, colleagues and external vendors.
