Functional Architect - Travel Industry

Summary

As a Functional Expert, you will join a newly formed team of cross-functional experts responsible for analyzing and designing solution proposals for complex, multi-business-unit use cases.

You will bring deep expertise in the Travel Industry and in at least one travel-related business domain, while developing a strong understanding of adjacent areas to deliver cohesive, customer-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze cross-vertical business needs and design integrated solution proposals;
• Provide high-level cost estimates, including development and running costs;
• Support presales activities for potential new engagements;
• Present and articulate solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers;
• Rapidly acquire and apply knowledge across different business domains;
• Identify and engage the relevant stakeholders across business units, Product Management, and Engineering;
• Build strong networks and partnerships to facilitate collaboration and solution delivery;
• Contribute to the evolution of Amadeus’ services strategy through innovation and best practices.

About the Ideal Candidate

• Strong experience within the Travel Industry, with deep expertise in at least one relevant business or functional domain;
• Good technical understanding, with the ability to discuss solution architecture, integrations, and technical constraints with engineering teams;
• Strong ability to understand complex customer needs and translate them into integrated solutions;
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging with both internal teams and customers;
• Ability to quickly learn and operate across different business and technology domains;
• Experience in Professional Services, Solution Architecture, Consulting, or Product Management is a plus.
