Job Description:
A vacancy for a Function & System Design Responsible in Tactical Mission Management System & Datalink (f/m/d) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.
You will join a team of engineers in the "Situational Awareness and Mission Management" department in charge of terrain/weather/threats/traffic awareness functions, vision enhancement and targeting systems, data-links as well as mission management
systems for all (e-)VTOLs.
Your mission will consist of system engineering activities and helicopter level integration of mission management systems interfaced with many contributor systems for civil and military helicopters.

Your challenges
Your main responsibilities will include:

Definition and implementation of operational concepts and use cases for Tactical Mission Management Systems & Datalinks

Technical responsible for Tactical Mission Management Systems & Datalinks
-
Requirements engineering
-
Ensure planning at equipment and helicopter level for development and qualification
-
Assess suppliers’ offers with other stakeholders
-
Interface with project management, purchasing, sales department and other project stakeholders throughout the organization

Interface with / management of suppliers and customers
-
Manage suppliers during development phase
-
Support rig, ground and flight testing of the equipment
-
Ensure the qualification / certification of equipment and the according functions
-
Apply of agile development methodology

Participate in offer management and contributing to product sourcing policy

Benchmark our solutions with state of the art Tactical Mission Management Systems & Datalinks

Actively contribute to definition and execution of research and technology (R&T) activities and mission systems product strategy

Supporting knowledge exchange within Airbus (all divisions)
Your profile
You have the following skills and experience
-
Academic studies in the field of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
-
Comprehensive experience in the design, development, engineering and/or integration of mission management systems for aircraft
-
Knowledge in systems engineering, requirements engineering and integration in the field of avionics
-
Knowledge or previous experience of Tactical Mission Management Systems & Datalinks would be advantage
-
A previous experience with agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe) would be benifitial
-
Experience in Supplier Management
-
Team Spirit, good communication skills and experience in stakeholder management
-
Language skills: English business fluent / negotiation level, knowledge of German, French or Spanish would be an advantage
