The ALLPLAN Development team is currently looking for a Functional Analyst to join us. You will provide the knowledge base for software development for structural and civil engineers. This comprises new applications and innovations as well as the maintenance and enhancement of current design products. You will be part of the international “Structural Mechanics Team” consisting of professional engineers and software developers where you can apply your knowledge, enthusiasm for civil and structural engineering.
· working closely together with developers, product owners and customers
· analysis of building codes and theory in structural engineering and design
· research work and definition of reference examples
· assurance of quality by testing
· documentation, e.g. in handbooks and FAQs
· supporting global sales and customer support
· analysis and processing of customer feedback
· working with 3rd parties in joined projects
· presenting company at exhibitions, conferences and online events
· basic understanding of software development
· knowledge in agile working according to Scrum or Kanban
· familiarity with Jira and GitHub in an advantage
· experience with AI copilots
· understanding of practical and theoretical aspects of daily civil engineering work
· strong analytical skills, creative thinking and problem solving
· fluency in spoken and written English
· team player with great communication and collaboration skills
· enjoyment of theoretical engineering work
· university degree or equivalent education in civil and structural engineering
