SET THE COURSE

We are seeking an eCommerce Functional Analyst to support and enhance our SAP-based digital commerce platform and its integrated ecosystem. This role partners closely with eCommerce, IT, Marketing Technology, and external vendors to deliver high-quality digital experiences and ensure stable, scalable operations. The Functional Analyst translates business needs into functional solutions, supports ongoing enhancements and releases, and helps maintain a seamless, customer-focused online experience.

Core responsibilities include gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications, supporting ongoing enhancements and releases, and providing level two application support for the eCommerce platform. This role plays a critical part in ensuring stable operations, seamless integrations, and an optimal customer experience across digital touchpoints.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

Working in close partnership with eCommerce business stakeholders, IT, and Project Managers, the Functional Analyst will:

eCommerce & Platform Expertise

  • Develop working knowledge of the eCommerce platform (SAP) and integrated systems (order management, product, inventory, payments, tax, shipping, customer data)
  • Understand end-to-end customer journeys and supporting backend processes
  • Analyze cross-system impacts of enhancements, defects, and configuration changes

Requirements & Solution Design

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements
  • Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
  • Create and maintain process flows, system diagrams, and data flows that describe eCommerce and integration behavior
  • Partner with technical teams to evaluate platform and integration capabilities to recommend scalable, supportable solutions aligned to business goals

Testing, Releases & Operational Readiness

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and technical teams to plan and execute QA, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Develop test scenarios and test cases that validate customer experience, backend processing, and third-party system integrations
  • Support release readiness activities, including impact assessments, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring
  • Partner with IT and support teams to ensure smooth transition from project delivery to steady-state operations

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide level two support for the eCommerce platform, troubleshooting issues related to site functionality, integrations, data, and configuration
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and accessible for cross-functional teams
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to triage, document, and resolve production issues
  • Identify recurring issues or process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce operational risk and improve site stability

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Vendor Management

  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors supporting the eCommerce ecosystem
  • Stay informed on platform enhancements and vendor roadmaps, advising stakeholders on opportunities to improve performance, conversion, and customer experience

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IS, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Generally 4 to 5+ years in an industry-related environment using enterprise business applications
  • Experience working with SAP-based commerce solutions or similar enterprise eCommerce platforms preferred
  • Hands-on experience with integrated systems such as OMS, payment gateways, tax engines, shipping providers, or marketing/analytics platforms preferred
  • Experience with Agile delivery, including user stories, backlogs, and sprint-based execution
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow strongly preferred
  • Perform data analysis to support business requirements and identify trends or issues
  • Familiarity with APIs, data interfaces, and basic system architecture concepts

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional documentation
  • Understanding of end-to-end eCommerce flows, including browse, purchase, fulfillment, and post-purchase experiences
  • Ability to analyze and communicate system and integration impacts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven attention to detail and comfort operating in high-visibility, customer-impacting environments
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate strategically while also supporting tactical execution and issue resolution

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $83,000 - $110,000 per year
