Position Overview: An exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking full stack engineer who thrives on producing customer-facing web and app experiences. You will join a leading name in the food and beverage market with 500+ stores across the world. As a full stack Engineer specializing in JavaScript, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining front-end and back-end systems. You will be part of a team that fosters a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and contribute improving technical excellence and innovation within you team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable and performant mission critical web applications using React.js for front-end and Node.js for API development.
- Collaborate and implement practices, design patterns, and coding standards in the product
- Drive a culture of quality and innovation, advocating Extreme Programming ways of working.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in Agile processes and code reviews.
- Utilise strong debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both front-end and back-end systems (including both internal and third-party systems)
- Experience working on cloud platforms, with knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) being an advantage.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and solutions is highly desirable.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the product roadmap and development processes.
- Champion continuous improvement, performance optimisation, and security throughout the development lifecycle
Skills:
- Proven experience as a hands-on engineer with proficiency in JavaScript, React, TypeScript for front-end and Node.js for back-end development.
- Experience in technical decision making guiding the team to propose solutions which implement standard mythologies so that a maintainable product is produced.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor other engineers.
- Experience working in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Retail, or E-commerce industries is a plus.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- You have a passion for automation tested code and setting high standards for code quality.
- Be a keen team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change through innovation and collaboration.
Skills Required
