This role sits with Steuerbot, a Stuttgart-based brand within the Taxfix Group. This app guides users through their tax return in a friendly chat format, using clear, personalised questions that make filing simple with no jargon, nor stress. We believe everyone should be able to do their own taxes and get the most out of their refund, regardless of income or background.

As a Fullstack Developer, you’ll be part of a shared team between Steuerbot and Taxfix, working directly with the Steuerbot founders. You’ll help us develop the unique technology that powers and accelerates the growth of both Steuerbot and Taxfix. At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to expand on our existing approaches in CI/CD and test automation.

Beyond development, you’ll also be able to dive into exciting areas such as machine learning, database optimization, or data engineering. We’re happy to give you the time and space to explore new fields and grow professionally.

• Further developing and maintaining our internal services and tools.

• Actively shaping a scalable, future-oriented architecture and infrastructure.

• Collaborating closely with our product and frontend teams to design and implement new features.

• Thinking holistically to deliver the best possible usability to our users.

• Contributing from day one to the development of entirely new features or products and making a meaningful impact.

• You have strong knowledge of at least one object-oriented or functional programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Scala, Python) — ideally with experience in Go.

• You enjoy writing performant and maintainable code.

• You have experience in designing and implementing complex systems.

• You’re knowledgeable in container orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or similar tools.

• You’re excited to dive into new topics and technologies.

• You’re eager to become a key member of the team and enjoy working in a small, highly efficient group.

• Fluent in German Language.
