Fullstack Engineer - Core Product

THE ROLE

As a Fullstack Engineer on the Core Product team at Baseten, you'll build and maintain the core Baseten web application and developer workflows, enabling users to deploy and serve ML models. This role is primarily a front-end position, but there will be lots of opportunities to contribute to our backend, our OSS projects, and other areas of the stack. This team is at the forefront of all new product development at the company.

EXAMPLE INITIATIVES

You'll get to work on these types of projects as part of our Core Product team:

• Chains for multi-component workflows

• Asynchronous inference

• Model APIs for frontier models

• Model training built for production inference

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement new features and products for the team

• Design abstractions in our frontend and across the codebase to drive higher developer velocity

• Fix bugs and resolve customer issues with urgency

• Work closely with the product and design teams to develop and drive new product ideas

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field

• 1-3 years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure

• Highly proficient in using a modern frontend framework like React

• Familiar with web application backends and databases

• Good taste in product, particularly developer-oriented tools

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
