Core Application Engineering plays a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and evolving the critical internal applications and strategic initiatives that underpin Sportradar's operations. ABOUT YOU:

You are a developer who likes solving challenging problems and being focused at work. Learning is a natural part of your workday. You enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of people; you are passionate about what you do, have a strong interest in keeping up with current best practices, and you see programming languages as tools rather than constraints. You are curious about both technology and people — and you are not afraid to step outside your comfort zone.

Required:

  • Passion for technology 
  • Can-do attitude 
  • Proven, hands-on software development experience in PHP, Symfony, React, Typescript, SQL 
  • Ability to write clean, well-crafted, maintainable, and tested code (XP, TDD) 
  • Agile mindset (focus on delivering working software, collaboration, improvement) 
  • Shared values – relations, collaboration, trust

Desirable: 

  • Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices
  • Familiarity with dockerization and CI/CD workflow (GitLab)
  • Automation testing on various levels (unit, integration, performance, contract testing)
  • Hands-on software development experience with Go
  • AWS knowledge (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, Elasticache)
  • Experience or enthusiasm for integrating AI into development workflows or using AI to enhance product features

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:  

  • Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.
  • Technical Interview: Technical conversation to get familiar with your knowledge and experience.
  • Onsite Interview: Two short tasks split between AI and no-AI part and some discussion of your solution. Meet with the local team, discuss the team fit and take a tour of our office for a final meet-and-greet.
  • Finals Steps: Receive feedback and, if successful, an offer!
