Job Description

Main Tasks & Responsibilities: 

As a Fullstack Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of comprehensive web applications for the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Fullstack Development: Designing and implementing solutions from the backend (server) to the frontend (client), covering diverse areas such as risk management, market analysis, financing, and operational efficiency. 
  • Software Architecture: Contributing to the design of robust, scalable architectures, potentially integrating AI/ML components. 
  • API Integration: Developing and maintaining APIs to ensure smooth communication between services. 
  • Data Management: Designing database schemas, optimizing queries, and efficiently managing relational, NoSQL, and vector databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL server…). 
  • Deployment: Participating in CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance, as well as the industrialization of AI/Data solutions. 
  • Agile Collaboration: Working within a distributed team (France & Portugal) following agile rituals (dailies, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives). 
  • Quality and Best Practices: Applying high standards for code quality, documentation, version control (Git), and promoting best practices like TDD. 
  • Problem Solving: Analyzing complex business problems and proposing effective technical solutions. 
  • Communication: Clearly presenting technical concepts and results to business and IT teams. 

Qualifications

  • Education: University degree (Bachelor's or Master's equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Experience: Significant experience in Fullstack development, or Backend/Frontend with a strong aptitude for both. Experience in financial services is a plus. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Frontend: Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js). 
  • Backend: Proficiency with Python, .NET, Java, or Node.js. 
  • APIs: Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Flask). 
  • Databases: Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ideally NoSQL/vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Milvus, Pinecone). 
  • DevOps & Cloud: Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes. Knowledge of OpenShift and experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) are appreciated. 
  • AI/Data (Major Asset): Familiarity with RAG, AI agentic flows, LLMs, and frameworks like LangChain. 
  • Best Practices: Experience with TDD, Git. 
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, adaptability to a collaborative and international environment. 
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to articulate technical concepts effectively. 
  • Languages: Professional fluency in English (oral and written). Portuguese is a plus.

Skills Required
