We’re looking for a hands-on Full Stack Team Leader to build and lead the engineering team for the Verified Profile product. You will work closely with the Product Leader to deliver a secure, high-performing, and scalable identity verification platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup-like environment, enjoys ownership from architecture to deployment, and embraces modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
You will lead a small, agile team of developers, drive technical decisions, and stay close to the code — especially in the early phases as we take the product from zero to hero.
Responsibilities
- Lead & Deliver: Build and manage a high-performing full-stack team to deliver the Verified Profile roadmap end-to-end.
- Hands-On Development: Contribute directly to the codebase using React (frontend) and Python (backend) in a cloud-native environment.
- AI-Enhanced Development: Leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor to accelerate feature delivery and improve code quality.
- Architecture & Best Practices: Define system architecture, coding standards, and DevOps practices to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to align technical execution with business objectives.
- Mentorship & Growth: Guide and mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Quality & Performance: Ensure high-quality deliverables through automated testing, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with React and Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask).
- AI Development Tools: Proven experience or strong interest in using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT for code).
- Leadership Experience: At least 2–3 years leading teams, with a track record of delivering complex web applications.
- Full Stack Mindset: Comfortable working across the stack, from frontend UX to backend APIs and database design.
- Startup DNA: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment; able to balance speed with technical excellence.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps workflows.
- Security & Scalability Awareness: Experience building secure and scalable systems, ideally for identity or fintech products.
