Job Description

The Servicing Tooling Platform team within the Mitigation squad enables Wise operations to scale in a standardised way through high quality data, Out-of-the-Box backoffice solutions for agents and supporting functions. As a software engineer on this team, you will work on building a scalable and reusable platform that can be used to create efficient operational processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our tooling platform, contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

 

Our main vision points are:

  • We standardise and enable Servicing Operational processes via a common abstractions and out-of-the-box solutions, reliable data and backoffice tools

  • We enable the quickest technical solution for product teams building manual work tooling with a wide range of use cases to accommodate the various needs of operational teams

  • We offer platform-level support for any core and custom problems within our service, along with easy guides for implementation, troubleshooting and analysis

  • We ensure our service stability doesn’t stand on the way of operational effectiveness and that the services themselves are secure and scalable, all while supporting the deprecation of legacy back-office tooling

Qualifications

What does it take?

  • Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to work independently while also being a good team player. Your work will frequently involve cross-team collaboration.

  • Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value

  • Following best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback

  • Having data and API design in the centre of your decisions

  • Ability to build iteratively new capabilities on top of legacy systems, so they are eventually decommissioned

 

Is that you?

  • Experience working with Java, Spring framework, asynchronous message queues and have worked with microservices architecture

  • Frontend experience with one of JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or other

  • Comfortable working on big challenges and taking ownership of the customer journey

  • Experience building and designing scalable and performing systems and APIs

  • Comfortable with SQL databases, optimisation and transaction

  • A passion for international finance, foreign exchange and payment systems
